Happening this week.

Wednesday 10th March miniWofS at Huddersfield University including a performance of my most recent composition Monome Swirls and an untitled experiment by Adam Jansch.

Then I am performing at Interlace a series of concerts curated by Sebastian Lexer, Saturday the 13th March, Goldsmiths College London.

And as if that was not enough the latest inclusive improv podcast was just released 'WofS so far' presented by myself.

Going to be a busy week.

ChucK at the MSP Power User Symposium

Currently working on a presentation about ChucK for some Max/MSP power users at the Huddersfield Uni GEMdays festival. Will be fun being the odd person out and there are a lot of other interesting presenters including,

� Oli Larkin will talk about some of his latest work, including new effects designs and externals.

� Alex Harker will discuss recent approaches to making complex and dynamic patches in MaxMSP - strategies include the development of reusable and reliable externals for MaxMSP.

� Dave Bessell will talk about convincing physical models for real time performance in Max/msp, with some illustrations from his piece Ophidian, for flute physical model.

� P.A. Tremblay will talk about his use of ftm-based concatenative synthesis (Diemo Schwartz's CataRT) in the design of his new laptop+bass instrument Sandbox#3.

The event is free, it is in the Creative Arts Building at the University of Huddersfield, at 1pm on Saturday 30th January. As part of GEMdays.

Two Gigs - HELO.pg and solo live coding

Two performances this month firstly as part of HELO.pg playing in support of The Huddersfield Experimental Laptop Orchestra (HELO) in their second performance of the academic year.

ChucK Manual Sprint

Over today I have been helping on the ChucK manual sprint, a consorted effort to bring the ChucK documentation upto date.

Its always a challenge with a language still under development, to keep the documentation unto date.

And as is always the case I have picked up some more cool ChucK tricks.

HELO & ii @ Expo documentry

This summer the Huddersfield Experimental Laptop Orchestra (HELO) and the inclusive improv performed as part of the Sound and Music Leeds Expo.

Manchester based film maker Nathan Rae accompanied the groups and shot the camera work that is used within this documentary.

HELO.pg Performance at ANY WHICH WAY

This coming Friday (13th November) I am performing as part of HELO.pg, the post grad part of the Huddersfield Experimental Laptop Orchestra in its first live performance of the current academic year.

miniWofS Performance 2009

Monday the 9th of November I have the opportunity to perform 'Dense' as part of miniWofS.

miniWofS is the one day version of the Week of Speakers project organised by the inclusive improv collective.

'Dense' is a solo laptop piece performed using ChucK code and just the laptop keyboard and mouse. Performed using live coding techniques 'Dense' has been created for miniWofS.

This Friday i am going to be at the Expo Leeds Unconference.

Really looking forward to it and hope to maybe do some live coding stuff while I am there.

Later on Friday there is the one and only HELO ii rehearsal for the NetMixer performance on Saturday as part of the EXPO.

Laptop Musical Instrument Workshop

On September 27th and October 3rd 2009 I am leading a workshop on the Laptop as a musical instrument in Manchester UK.

The workshops are being hosted by The Noise Upstairs and explore methods of improvising and performing with laptop computers.
